My Garden, My Life with Melissa Jolly
Melissa Jolly is a garden designer who is passionate about wildlife and creating sustainable gardens. Sarah Layton, who hosts the podcast , is a garden designer and also, formerly, a psychotherapist. Her passion is supporting women to engage with their gardens and make space for themselves in their lives. She now does this through garden design planning and coaching. Currently online.
We met in Melissa’s garden late last year and had a wonderful chat, surrounded by her chickens, about many subjects including - but in no particular order:
Rewilding and Climate Change
Melissa’s connection with the land and love of nature and wildlife and how this plays into her work and day to day self-care.
Perfectionism and ‘good enough’
Self sufficiency and being an ‘Early Adopter’
Flight of the Osprey and her involvement in the campaign
Naturalistic planting
The balance of career and motherhood
Living next door to your parents
Making your working life working for you.
