Growth - An Exhibition by Thrown and Omved Gardens
Growth
An exhibition by Thrown and OmVed Gardens
Growth is often something taken for granted.
The natural world growing around us, the constant ebb and flow of plants reacting to the seasons, at a pace invisible to our busy lives. And of course our own emotional growth, an inward personal journey which may not be visible to the outside world – and sometimes even, yet, ourselves.
Created in collaboration by OmVed Gardens and specialist ceramics gallery Thrown, Growth is a group exhibition that brings together work in ceramics, wood and alternative medium to give a focus to the unseen. From Adele Howitt’s sculptural forms capturing the trail of opening buds to The Clay Assemblage’s ‘Her (Earth) in isolation’ series, reflecting on her personal experience as a child of migrants, the collected works will find space throughout OmVed Garden’s glasshouse and gardens.
Opening in May 2021 , after the year the world stopped, Growth holds extra special meaning in giving a place to stop and reflect on how far we’ve come.
Growth in collaboration with OmVed Gardens will open to celebrate the opening Chelsea Fringe and run until 13th June.
