The Edible Playground: Garden Open Day and Plant Sale

Come and visit our beautiful and secluded community garden at Slade Gardens Adventure Playground in Stockwell. Begun only four years ago, it is thriving thanks to the commitment of local volunteers. There will also be the opportunity to purchase plants and our first produce of the year. The garden has raised vegetable beds, a pond garden, ornamental beds, a polytunnel and a wildflower meadow. Preliminary steps have also been taken to create an orchard. In addition, visitors can see our quail as well as bees, which produced 200 jars of honey last year. Expert advice will be on hand to answer gardening questions. The playground will be open for those coming with children. SORRY: NO DOGS.
