The Ayurveda Kitchen and Garden Workshop
Author and Ayurvedic practitioner, Anne Heigham, will walk you through her indoor Ayurvedic herb garden via zoom. She will give you a brief introduction to Ayurveda and some tips on how to use your garden and kitchen to bring more balance to your life both emotionally, mentally and physically. This will be an interactive workshop and Anne invites you to be prepared with a pot, soil and some seeds of EITHER a herb or vegetable of your choice ready to sow.
Ayurveda translates to mean the Science of Life. It is a 5,000 year old medical science from the Indian Subcontinent. It understands the intrinsic relationship between humans and their environment and how to maintain balance within the body. Ayurveda uses both food and plants as medicine and Anne has a deep passion for gardening and growing her own herbs and veg.
Anne has been a full time Ayurvedic Practitioner and Yoga Teacher since 2007 and in 2021 published The Ayurveda Kitchen by Hachette. The Ayurveda Kitchen shares much of her knowledge that she has shared with her clients over the years. The book contains 80 vegetarian recipes, a simple home remedy pharmacy section and educates about how to eat with the seasons and the six tastes according to Ayurveda. With her sense of fun Anne will be interweaving some of the tips from the book into this fabulous workshop.
