Sketching in the Squares
During the Chelsea Fringe, artist Nick Andrew will be Artist in Residence in the Bloomsbury Garden Squares, drawing in three of the many beautiful gardens in the area. This is a rare opportunity to observe an artist working in the open air and to see his interpretation of the life of the gardens. You are invited to bring along your sketchbook (and a cushion?) and join him, whatever your age or ability, and create your own scene. Nick will be happy to offer advice and suggestions.

Over the past few years, in his ‘Sticks in the Smoke’ project*, Nick has made mixed media drawings in a wide range of London green spaces. He created the illustrations for the book 'Bloomsbury’s Squares and Gardens', capturing the life of the garden squares in this leafy, atmospheric neighbourhood. Now you can see him working on a new set of local gardens. *www.nickandrew.co.uk
