A Sketchbook Walk through the Bloomsbury Squares

The artist Nick Andrew leads a virtual stroll though the gardens in Bloomsbury where he has spent time sketching over the last few years, revealing their different characters in his original watercolour sketches. The gardens, several of which are listed, belong to the Association of Bloomsbury Squares and Gardens, a voluntary forum for all the Friends groups, garden trustees and landowners of the area. It encourages cooperation and joint action where possible and the sharing of ideas. The aim of conserving the heritage and beauty of these gardens, while enabling safe public use which is enjoyable for everyone, is a strong motivator. The illustrations will be part of an Open Air Art Gallery in the squares during the Bloomsbury Festival in October.
