ABOUT: Elephant Park is promoting a series of free online creative activities during Spring. This free workshop for adults is hosted by Art In The Park.
Vital Collage: This activity can follow on from the previous Art & Mindfulness session with Art in the Park, but can also be attended as a stand-alone workshop. We will start with some simple mindful breathing techniques and go on to use different art techniques to create images. Existing photographs and artwork can also be included. Demonstration will be given as how to select and combine images to create a final collage artwork.
There is much evidence that being engaged in creative and social activity or connection, even for short periods of time, can boost health and wellbeing. The workshop focuses on the process of exploration and internal inquiry through art and not on the end visual result. Artist Andrea will lead the online activity and there will be an opportunity for discussion and optional sharing of art and reflections on the process.
Materials required: Some sheets of paper, any size. Any drawing materials you have: pencils, coloured pencils, felt tips, oil or chalk pastels, charcoal, etc. Any painting materials and equipment you may have.
